Online Psychotherapy for Anxiety, Depression & Stress
Talk therapy with a psychologist, online, for anxiety, low mood, panic and stress.
If you have been feeling anxious most days, low for weeks, or so stressed that it is affecting your sleep and health, online psychotherapy can help you understand what is happening and learn ways to cope. You talk with a psychologist by video, from home, in English, Hindi or Gujarati.
Psychotherapy is structured talk therapy. Over a series of sessions, you and your psychologist look at the thoughts, feelings and patterns that keep the problem going, and work on changing them at a pace that feels manageable.
Common concerns we help with
You might be thinking something like:
- “I feel anxious all the time and can’t switch off my mind.”
- “My heart starts racing and I panic, sometimes for no reason.”
- “I’ve been feeling low and empty for weeks. Nothing feels enjoyable.”
- “Stress is affecting my sleep, my appetite and my health.”
- “Something that happened years ago still affects me today.”
- “I keep avoiding things I know I need to do.”
If any of these sound familiar, you are not alone, and you do not need to have the right words before you book.
How online psychotherapy helps with anxiety and depression
Anxiety and depression often keep themselves going: worry leads to avoidance, avoidance makes the worry bigger, and low mood makes it harder to do the things that used to help. Therapy helps you notice these cycles and gently break them.
Your psychologist may use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy or behavioural therapy. They will explain the suggested approach and why it is recommended for you.
When to consider therapy
You do not need to wait until things feel unbearable. It may be time to talk to someone if a feeling has lasted for more than a couple of weeks, if it is affecting your work, studies, sleep or relationships, or if the ways you usually cope are no longer working.
If you are unsure whether you need a psychologist or a psychiatrist, our guide on psychologist vs counsellor vs psychiatrist explains the difference. A psychologist does not prescribe medicine; if your psychologist feels a medical opinion would help, they will tell you.
Your first psychotherapy session
The first session is mostly about understanding you: what has been happening, how it affects your daily life and what you would like to change. You can share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
At the end, your psychologist will suggest a plan, explain how many sessions might be useful and how progress will be reviewed. Booking a first session does not commit you to a course of therapy.
Session details and fees
All sessions are held online by video. Choose a quiet, private place and check your internet connection beforehand. Sessions are available in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Please contact us for the current fee, session length and cancellation terms; we confirm them before your first session.
Frequently asked questions
What is psychotherapy and how does it work?
Psychotherapy is structured talk therapy with a trained professional. You meet regularly, usually weekly or fortnightly, to understand what is troubling you and to practise new ways of thinking, coping and responding. The approach is agreed with you.
Can online therapy help with anxiety and depression?
Many people with anxiety and low mood use online therapy, and for common concerns video sessions can work well. Your psychologist will assess your situation in the first session and tell you honestly if another kind of help, such as a psychiatrist, would suit you better.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
It depends on your concern and goals. Some people feel clearer after a few sessions; others benefit from longer support. Your psychologist will discuss this after the first session and review it with you as you go.
How is psychotherapy different from counselling?
Counselling usually focuses on a current situation, decision or difficult period. Psychotherapy looks more closely at patterns that keep repeating, such as anxiety, depression or the effects of a painful past. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help you choose.
Is CBT available online?
Yes. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the approaches our team uses, and it works well in video sessions. Your psychologist will explain whether it suits your concern.
Can I talk to a Gujarati or Hindi speaking psychologist?
Yes. Sessions are available in English, Hindi and Gujarati, and many people mix languages, which is completely fine. Mention your preferred language when you book and we will confirm which counsellor you will meet.
