Online Child Counselling for Children & Teenagers
Online counselling for children and teenagers, with guidance for parents, in English, Hindi or Gujarati.
As a parent, it is worrying when your child seems angry, withdrawn, scared to go to school or overwhelmed by exams, and nothing you try seems to help. Online child counselling gives your child or teenager a safe space to talk to a psychologist, and gives you guidance on how to support them at home.
Sessions are adapted to your child’s age. Younger children usually have a parent involved; teenagers often have some time on their own. You can choose English, Hindi or Gujarati.
Common concerns we help with
You might be thinking something like:
- “My child gets very angry and doesn’t listen.”
- “My teenager is always on the phone and we fight about it.”
- “Board exams are coming and my child is stressed and can’t sleep.”
- “My child is scared to go to school.”
- “My child has low confidence and struggles to make friends.”
- “We don’t know how to talk to our teenager anymore.”
If any of these sound familiar, you are not alone, and you do not need to have the right words before you book.
Signs your child may need counselling
Every child has difficult phases. It may be worth talking to someone if a change in mood or behaviour lasts more than a few weeks, affects school, sleep, eating or friendships, or if your child talks about feeling hopeless. Trust your instinct; asking for advice is not an overreaction.
If your child mentions self-harm or not wanting to live, seek help immediately (see the emergency numbers below).
Exam stress and teenager counselling
Exam pressure, comparison and worries about the future are common reasons teenagers struggle. Sessions help them manage stress, sleep and study routines, and talk about fears they may not share at home. If your child is confused about choosing a stream or career, we can help with the stress and confusion; formal aptitude testing is best done by a career counsellor.
Online child counselling and parenting support
Parents can book guidance sessions to understand their child’s behaviour, set calm and consistent limits, and improve communication at home. Approaches may include child-focused CBT, behaviour therapy, play and activity-based work, emotional regulation for teenagers and parent guidance sessions.
Session details and fees
All sessions are held online by video. Choose a quiet, private place and check your internet connection beforehand. Sessions are available in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Please contact us for the current fee, session length and cancellation terms; we confirm them before your first session.
Frequently asked questions
Is online counselling suitable for children?
For many children and most teenagers, yes, especially when they can sit in a quiet, private room. Before booking, we discuss your child’s age and concern to check that online sessions suit them.
Will a parent attend every session?
It depends on the child’s age and concern. Younger children usually have a parent present for part of the session; teenagers often have some time alone. This is agreed with you before the first session.
Will you tell parents what my teenager says?
Your counsellor explains this at the start. Sessions are confidential, but parents are informed if there is a risk to the young person’s safety. Parents receive general guidance on how to help.
Can you help with exam stress?
Yes. Exam stress is one of the most common reasons parents contact us. Sessions focus on managing anxiety, sleep and routines, and on how parents can support without adding pressure.
How do I prepare my child for counselling?
Explain it simply and honestly, for example: “You’ll talk with someone whose job is to help kids with worries.” Our guide on preparing your child for counselling has more tips.
Can I talk to a Gujarati or Hindi speaking psychologist?
Yes. Sessions are available in English, Hindi and Gujarati, and many people mix languages, which is completely fine. Mention your preferred language when you book and we will confirm which counsellor you will meet.
